Museum of Flight

A couple of Hill Engineering employees visited the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field in Tukwila, Washington recently. The museum sees over 500,000 visitors a year, and is the largest private, non-profit air and space museum in the world.

Who knew that air- and spacecraft could be so interesting! The museum has over 175 flying wonders, and more artifacts and photographs than you can imagine. All of these airplanes and aerospace vehicles have a lot of fastener holes – just imagine all of the fatigue analysis that was performed during their design! It is hard to not be in awe of them all.

Here are some photos from the trip, but you should plan a trip to see it all in person!

Ready to go inside, Boeing Field is pretty neat

The outdoor hangar houses some really interesting aircraft, like a Boeing 787 Dreamliner

The museum has a huge exhibit for war-era aircraft
