National Museum of the US Air Force

Recently, some members of Hill Engineering visited the National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. With more than 360 aircraft and missiles in house, the museum is the largest military aviation museum in the world.

Because of our aerospace and mechanical engineering backgrounds, aircraft represent a special place in our hearts. Of course, we can’t look at these awesome flying machines without thinking about the incredible residual stress engineering and fatigue analysis incorporated in their design, but that never takes away from the fact that they are just plain cool.

Take a look at some of the pictures we took during our visit, and get excited to make a trip of your own!
