Name That Aircraft Challenge winner: Gerold Arheilger

Everybody put your hands together for 2018’s #Namethataircraft winner, Gerold Arheilger! For those of you who were unaware, we began a bi-weekly competition this past year where our twitter followers scored points for identifying photographs of aircraft on our twitter account.

Several accounts came close to the prize, but in the end Gerold Arheilger clinched the win! Gerold is a mechanical engineer in the telecommunications industry, and his interests in aerodynamics and aircraft gave him the edge he needed to pull ahead.

Tweeting all the way from Germany, we’ve sent Mr. Arheilger his very own Hill Engineering t-shirt to commemorate his victory. Congratulations!

To those who didn’t win, don’t despair. 2019 is a new year, and once again victory could be yours. So make sure you follow our twitter account @hill_eng and look out for #namethataircraft posts on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.

If you have any questions about our involvement with aircraft or any other residual stress questions, please contact us for more information.
